My love for professional wrestling started from a young age. The theatrics, the hard hitting maneuvers, high flying stunts. To me there was nothing more entertaining. Like a lot of people in Ireland at the time, I only had access to the random episodes of WWE I could watch on TV. Because of this, as I was growing up, I lost the love I used to have for the sport. Thankfully, because of the modern age we live in, I have been able to rekindle this love for the sport and have been able to expand on it even more. I learned about the history of wrestling in Ireland. I started going to shows here and seeing some of the top performers in this country. This rekindled love led me to this project, where I wanted to show the people that are giving their all to bring this sport all over Ireland. To people that disregard it by saying “it’s all fake” or “it’s not a sport”, I recommend going to a show, feeling the atmosphere of the people there, seeing these performers putting their all into every moment they are in the ring.
